In Düsseldorf Oki awards its best retailers for 2017. In addition, Germany CEO Thomas Seeber talks about the centralization of the manufacturer within Europe and draws an initial conclusion after one year in office.

When Thomas Seeber replaced Dietrich Büchner at the head of Oki Germany almost a year ago, this was also a foretaste of the manufacturer's future organization within Europe. The new head of Germany had already performed tasks beyond national borders, and not only in the English European headquarters. Now Seeber was Vice President Central Region and responsible for Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands.

In fact, Oki and Seeber did not take long to reorganize their sales structures in Europe. After standardizing its back-office structure including sales and marketing programs in the EMEA region, the manufacturer bundled the various companies under one legal entity as of January 1 of this year. The goal: to standardize the brand image and exploit synergies in order to continue to exist as a small manufacturer in the highly competitive printer market with declining device sales and page printing.

The next step at the personnel level followed: The individual country responsibilities were now brought together under the umbrella of the »One Central Region« at the Düsseldorf headquarters. The main new features are the division of the sales teams into a value and volume area and the North-South division of regional sales. While Olaf Sepold is responsible for the new value business, Seeber has brought Ibrahim Ahmet back to the Rhine from the European headquarters and assigned him responsibility for both volume sales and marketing. Ahmet is familiar with marketing at the manufacturer, after all he was responsible for exactly this area at Oki Germany until 2015 before he moved to London.
