Bechtle has been active with a system house location in Brussels since 2012. The team from the Belgian capital organises the operative implementation and control of the project. Specialized units from the Bechtle IT system houses support the team. Initially, the software portfolio comprises ten large software manufacturers and around 90 other providers. "We are very pleased to be able to contribute to the modernisation of the software landscape of the EU Commission. The interaction of many Bechtle units and specialists enables us to meet the diverse wishes and requirements of the heterogeneous target group," says Gerhard Marz, Executive Vice President Public Sector at Bechtle.
Bechtle has its own Public Sector division and, in addition to the European Commission, its customers include NATO, Dutch and Belgian ministries, the European Investment Bank and other major customers such as the German Armed Forces, Dataport, numerous federal ministries, state administrations and universities. The IT company combines central know-how in Public Sector Business with decentralized support from regional system houses and international e-commerce companies. The services include the procurement of hardware and software, IT services and IT consulting.
